Broadway Bound Is Broadway Bound!

At a dinner for a swell documentary about Dominick Dunne, Neil Simon's wife Elaine Joyce--a noted Broadway talent in her own right--told me that three of Neil's plays (Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues, and Broadway Bound) will alternate in repertory next year on the Great White Way. She said this might happen at the Brooks Atkinson Theater and added that on Mondays, they want to get big names like Nathan Lane to come in and do readings of some of Simon's other plays (like Last of the Red Hot Lovers).

By the way, when I told Joyce that I love her on the cast recording of Sugar!--the musical version of Some Like It Hot--she said, "In my cabaret act, I say, 'I want to do some wonderful numbers from Sugar!...but there aren't any!' "
