The Most Irritating Phrases on Earth! Absolutely!

Some Oxford database or other just came out with a list of the 10 most irritating phrases that people say, starting with "At the end of the day," moving down to stuff like like "With all due respect" and "Absolutely," and rounding it off with "It's not rocket science."

Well, it's not rocket science to realize they clearly left out some super annoying words and phrases--ones that crawl under my skin and practically make me bleed in literary horror. Among the abrasive ones that truly should have been in there at the end of the day:

"Not a problem."

"We're on the same page"

"This has been a wonderful journey."

"Let's revisit that."

"Iconic"

"Works for me."

"There you go."

"Tsunami" (As in "a tsunami of concern...")

And, of course, the immortal...

"Duh." (Which I use a lot. Duh.)
