Piano Bar, The Movie!
Last Call is a documentary about the dying art of piano bars, focusing a lot on Marie's Crisis, the basement West Village haunt where the sun will always come out "Tomorrow." Director Christopher Ashley (who did the ebullient Xanadu on Broadway) interviewed me for the flick, seeing as I go to Marie's approximately 60 showtunes a week, along with irrepressible singing waitress Maggie Wirth, who works there, and a host of others addicted to the "Sing out, Louise" lifestyle. Apparently they're trying to get distributon for this film, but before it ends up in a cineplex next to a Transformers sequel, here is the trailer on YouTube. Ta-da!
