Circumcision Movie: See The Uncut Version!
Partly Private, "the first funny film on the topic of male circumcision," is premiering on April 25 at the Tribeca Film Festival. How's that for a tip, ba dum pum? I bet they serve head cheese at the premiere party.
Sorry for the jokes, folks, but as you can see, circumcision makes me a tad uncomfortable. I can still remember mine--ouch--but it was well worth it since most guys won't even touch something unless it's 10% off.
Anyway, the film is directed by a woman--you heard me--and sets out to question "how an ancient rite became normal medical practice...Featuring an eccentric OB/GYN, a Freudian psychoanalyst, a cosmetician swearing by the use of foreskin in anti-aging cream, and a rabbi who has collected every foreskin he has ever removed, Partly Private offers a wry look at how circumcision is treated throughout the world."
Can't wait to see it, if I'm not to busy checking out that rabbi's foreskin collection.
