Will Nine Be a Ten?

• I have actually been following your blog site for 2 mornings now and I feel the need to say that I seriously love your style.

• Looks like Marshall has gone back to the original Fellini "8 1/2" source material and given the musical version the ol' Fosse-"Chicago" pizzazz. Think what he could do with Fellini's "Guilietta degli Spiriti"!

• They sure didn't cast this for ethnic verisimilitude! I can live with most of the cast but Kidman? La Montagna Fredda? Che orrore.

• Fingers crossed for an Oscar nomination for Fergie.

• It is amazing what Fergie sounds like when she goes from Will.i.am to Maury Yeston. Fergie plays Seraghina, a prostitute who takes away Guido Contini's virginity as a teenager. Daniel Day-Lewis is Guido, who is going through director's block. His mother (Sofia), his producer (Dame Judi), his wife (Marion Cotillard), his starlet (Nicole), his mistress (Penelope), his first sexual encounter (Fergie), and the female reporter (Kate Hudson) surround him and his creative ambition. It looks great. Part Fosse clearly due to Marshall's involvement in Chicago and part Tommy Tune with the staging.

• Sweet art direction! And Sophia looks like she'll steal it.This could be worth seeing. (Though I hated the play.)

• La Dolce Vita and La Dolce Musto both need: Anita Ekberg in the Trevi Fountain. Add Shirley Maclaine as Irma la Douce. (wasn't Billy Wilder channeling Fellini in French?) - and don't forget the sweet Musto. Let Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and George Clooney fight over that role.

• broadway queen, that's Fergie singing "Be Italian"; she plays Saraghina. I am sooo looking forward to this.

• This is way cool! It will be nice to see Sophia Loren onscreen again and I'm a great fan of Judy Dench. Don't know the film's merits but I'll be wanting to see it just to see how they're looking and doing these days. I just caught an eyeful of Keanau Reeves in "Street Kings" -- time is moving on.

• tim burton has a movie coming out also called nine. i hope it's better than this crap.

• Who is that singing "Be Italian"? It sounds like Catherine Zeta jones, but it looks like Nicole Kidman. Didn't Catherine Zeta drop out? Maybe they still used her vocal track.

• It looks like "Chicago" with an Italian accent--and that's fine with me.

• For La Dolce Musto, they should get Judi Dench obviously!!
