My, things happen so quickly around here! The moratorium on wisecracks about Michael Jackson's passing has already ended, and it's all thanks to Joan Rivers, the veteran comic who did a Gay Pride Week show at the Gramercy Theatre last night. She even cleverly managed to get a dig in at Cher in the process.
Said Joan (as the crowd laughed, but felt a tad guilty about it): "Cher called me. She's happy that Michael died. Now her boyfriends can go to the playground unescorted!"
