Did The Chris Brown Apology Get To You?

Are you still choked up from Chris Brown's video mea culpa that emerged a couple of days ago? I hope that's why you're choked up and not because some thug is at your throat.

I thought his performance was fine, and I even liked the Star Trek outfit and hoop earrings. But I thought Chris spoke way too quickly, as if the producer was saying, "Hurry. We only have two minutes of tape."

Also, the references to his "minister and mother" were clearly designed to manipulate us into thinking he's a down-home good boy who slipped up just a tiny bit. And the lack of specifics in favor of general talk about "what happened" was a bit uncomfortable.

But this is definitely a start. Let's give the guy a hand for groveling--and not around his neck.
