This is exceedingly difficult to narrow down, seeing as I'm gay, but my top 10 would no doubt have to include:

Two heart wrenching Judy Garland films that turn people gay (The Wizard of Oz and Meet Me In St. Louis)

Two flashy Kander and Ebb adaptations with bright makeup and dark underpinnings (Cabaret and Chicago)

Some more Oscar-winning Best Films, flawlessly adapted from the stage (West Side Story, The Sound of Music, and Oliver!)

A couple of biopics with luminous star performances (Yankee Doodle Dandy and Funny Girl)

And a big, old trannie movie (The Rocky Horror Picture Show).

I've left out Singin' in the Rain and The Bandwagon just because they're so damned obvious.

And you? Say Moulin Rouge and you'll be permanently banned from here!
