Tyler Perry Assembles The World's Greatest Blactresses

So Tyler Perry--you know, the Madea guy--is writing and directing a film called For Colored Girls, based on the brilliant series of monologues called For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf. (The play surfaced in '75, when you had to have long, interesting titles with funky spelling in order to get produced anywhere respectable.)

Well, Ty-Ty has revealed who his dream cast is for the film, and they include some of the most sizzling black (and mixed) talent on the planet:

Oprah Winfrey, Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Kimberly Elise, Cicely Tyson, Beyonce, Ruby Dee, Thandie Newton, Alicia Keys, and Mariah Carey. Unfortunately, Madea is not on the list--still in jail?

Anyway, Perry says he's spoken to six of these ladies and they all gleefully confirmed. He also let it slip that Oprah's a definite. So aside from her, let's hope the other five are....heck, any of them.
