The Letterman Scandal! Cheating! Extortion!

What's worse--the fact that late-night god David Letterman turns out to be a serial cheater who surprisingly made the ethical mistake of bedding staffers, or the fact that he became the target of a muti million dollar extortion plot as a result?

I'll go with the latter since it's even sneakier, sleazier, and more illegal.

And David's reaction to the plot--passing it on to authorities and announcing the upshot on his show last night--was a pretty classy way to dig himself out of his mess.

But who'd have thunk that our chat show hero would basically turn into a straight Jim McGreevey?
