When Oscar Got It Right
I'm always bitching out all those Academy Awards given to undeserving actors simply because they didn't get it the year before or because they just had a tracheotomy.
But occasionally, Oscar gets it right, actually conferring gold on the person who gave the best performance of the year in that category. No, really, it happens!
Just to name a few examples, this crazy but inspiring phenomenon includes:
Halle Berry in Monster's Ball
Chris Cooper in Adaptation
Emma Thompson in Howard's End
Denzel Washington in Training Day
Tilda Swinton in Michael Clayton
And maybe one or two more.
