• I love Tom but as somebody who loved IG, I am now worried about its award chances b/c Tom is usually wrong about the winners. Too many nominees to sort out, I wouldn't be surprised if Avatar won. Rooting for The Hurt Locker and Inglourious Basterds though. I love Anna Kendrick in Camp and the "Ladies Who Lunch" scene she sang happened because her character food-poisioned the other girl to have her moment. She struts on stage telling the director, "She's fucked and I'm ready!!" Her character's name was Fritzy too.

• yes Serial Mom was the last watchable film of John Waters but that was in prehistoric times when Kathleen Turner was thin -- for decades he has been a corpse, a mummy, and the only way he can get back into films is to change his name to Soon-Yi and suck the withered dick of his lookalike, Woody Allen -- that last film of Waters with Tracey Ullmann and his filmed standup routine are not just (unwittingly) bad and unfunny, they prove his talent of 40 years ago is exhausted and now he should live on his big fat residual checks on the Albanian production of the musical Hairspray, instead of inflicting his sterility on the general public --

• You WIN! for funniest Oscar prediction : "let me say that what will make Oscar voters go cock-a-doodle-do this time around are two screen Nazis: Christoph Waltz and Mo'Nique." Christoph was the sweet one, MoNique was the nightmare!

• Excuse me? John Waters is a National Treasure of Bad Taste who was waaaaaay ahead of his time, as illustrated by the fact that that pop culture has just recently caught up with him. "Serial Mom" made lurid outrageousness a family affair to a Barry Manilow beat. Have you read any of his non-fiction pieces, such as what defendants wear to court? Brilliant! His art has had me squealing in serious galleries and asked to leave the premises. And who else has given us such privileged glimpses as the camera closely following the young Johnny Depp in his underwear, crawling on all fours in "Cry Baby"? Talk about a body of work!

• John waters died years ago and no one seems to have noticed that his fetid emaciated corpse is still stinking up public areas -- he sure isn't funny any more -- hasn't been since Divine died -- why does anyone still talk about him? Plus he has become a pretentious asshole about his "art" and gives lectures in Switzerland about his great conceptual art -- which is a load of shit like all his films over the past 20 and more years! To hell with him -- let his lucky heirs live in peace on the endless royalties from Hairspray the musical--

• The plot of "Hairpsray II: White Lipstick" sounds cute but not exactly necessary. I can see why it's stalling as a project, but I do wish John Waters was back on top with something!!

• So Dustin Lance Black is allowed to make unsafe sex videos but not to go to a gay beer hall? Interesting.
