Last night, at Patricia Field's party for her "Keith Haring Paradise Garage Collection," a friendly man barreled up to me and said, "Hi, Michael! Thanks for all the support of my film."

I wasn't fully sure who he was, so to cagily fish out more details, I replied, "You're welcome! And how's that going?"
"Um, good," he said. "You know, it got six Oscar nominations."
"I know!" I bellowed, now knowing for sure that this was Lee Daniels, who directed the hugely successful Precious.
Embarrassing--but I swear he had glasses on that made him look a little different.
