Who's The Worst Actress in Movies?

• I wouldn't say Rachel McAdams is the WORST actress, but when I think of lousy actresses she always comes up first in my mind.  I saw her in "State of Play" and "Midnight in Paris" and she is really plastic.  Her crying scene with Russell Crow in State of Play was ridiculous and her attempt at acting in Midnight in Paris is shameful.  I can't believe she actually got paid in that movie.  It's as if she hadn't even read the script before filming.  Sure, she's pretty, but so are a lot of women.  Very boring actress.

• For anybody who considers portman to be a bad actress must be the same group of people who believe sandra bullock is a timeless treasure. Shes about the best their is now a days... WAY BETTER than JOLIE who seems to have an IQ of a buttered piece of toast in any role she performs. (Not including The Changling) but even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then. ROBERTS whos horse faced persona has somehow gotten her somewhere in hollywood but instead should be examined by the nations top scientist to finding out how anybody could be that goofy looking but still remain richer than most americans working 14 hour shifts just to survive. MADONNA and KIDMAN who are practically the same person when it comes to shitty acting and thick accents (one being atleast real) yes I mean you MADONNA whos acting is just like your stage perfomences FUCKING FAKE!!! BULLCOCK oh sorry I mean BULLOCK who made my eyes and ears bleed while attempting to watch the blind side, one being trying to watch her pull of this southern god send of a women and still watching her accepting an oscar for that same role and as for my ears just listening to that southern accent she pulled off just makes you want to puke she probaly just watched anything with jeff foxworthy in it and said "HEY I CAN DO THAT!!" She used sterotyping rather than acting!! And finally STREEP who has that ugly mom personality and somehow gained oscars for performing practically nothing intresting nor entertaining. Anybody could have pulled off the meaningless dull existence and bland commentary of the life of M. Thatcher, it just so happens hollywood had an actor that was just as goofy looking and bland to pull it off. That board meeting probaly took 5 minutes before they decided STREEP was the perfect choice for that role. Who gives a shit about the younger generation of actors like fox or stewart, just peices of tail with mouths to speak words. We all know their terrible at what they do (which in lamest terms is absoulutely nothing good) but it just reminds me of how much i enjoy the pussy and keeps me going for another day! Other than that no credit shall ever be given to them for anything other than that. SO CONGRATS TO THEM THEIR PARENTS SHOULD BE PROUD!! But for anybody to say that jennifers body was a good movie should be taken out back and shot. Well my buzz is wearing off but until then cheerio motha fuckers!!!! • Being an actor means you HAVE to have range and Jennifer Aniston plays the same role over and over and over again. It seems her real life is spilling into her career where she plays a career woman with love issues...maybe she shouldn't even bother taking on character names since she's playing herself. I'm still rooting for her, but I don't think it will change any time soon.

Lol. I would also put Angelina Jolie at the top of the list. She was so bad in the Changeling it was painful. But except for the fact that stealing Brad Pitt from Jen Aniston has blasted her into the stratosphere she really isn't that big of a star (apart from the tabloids, of course)and doesnt really work all that much. Does she? Maybe just in movies I don't see. What I don't get is why so many good directors want to work with Johanssen and Portman. Oh... nevermind.

• There are many really bad actresses out there but Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, Cher and Angelina Jolie have actually received awards for their horrific renderings. I refuse to watch any movie with Kidman. Have tried to give her a chance but cannot stomach more than ten minutes of her talentless drool at a time.

• Kidman is painful to watch. Gaping mouth, vapid stares and whispery voice grate my nerves. Scarlett J. is uber boring. She seems incapable of facial expressions. Bullock, Aniston, Garner tend to play similiar characters, but they are bearable to watch. You know what to expect. Angelina needs speech lessons. She is horrible in everything I have seen. Agree Drew was outstanding in Grey Gardens. Have not seen many of her films but her performance as Little Edie was tremendous.

• Lindsay really is a fantastic representation of everything wrong in the USA today. I seriously can not fathom why she gets that much news attention!

• When you throw a famous person the likes of Lindsay Lohan, in jailhouse it's a enormous job for the penitentiary officers, they don't need that. They're generating a lot of press and stress on their detainment facility. It gets all the other inmates provoked, it's not a satisfactory place. Due to that, they're going to want to get her out as soon as possible without giving the impression that she's receiving special treatment. At least that's what they say. Don't make me laugh! Keep in mind, Lindsay had a 90-day jail judgment of conviction, the general person with that sentence in Los Angeles would be required to do at least 22 or 23 days. But for Lindsay, now they're alleging two weeks total, so definitely she'd be getting it better than the rest. Just goes to show get famous get away with anything. Just ask OJ!!

• Zellweger - ok I forgot Cold Mountain and Chicago. But Bridget Jones?? The books are so much better than the movie. However I admit, US actors inconsistently imitating British accents in movies is so grating that I spent the duration compiling a mental list of actresses that I'd rather have seen in that role. Remember Andie McDowell's on-off British accent in Four Weddings and a Funeral? And she was supposed to be from the US in that role! The redheaded actress in that movie would've made a great Bridget but I think had already passed away.

• It is Kidman then Jolie. Both are more famous for their off camera antics than their horribly limited acting skills. Kidman's voice is like a tortured kitten and Jolie's could melt steel.

However, I must agree with nostradavid there is absolutely no one today who could have done Myra Breckinridge justice except Raquel. And that is considered to be the one of the worst movies of all time! There are movie actors (Meryl Streep), movie stars (Raquel Welch, Julia Roberts) and now movie celebrities (anyone of the names listed above). One of the problems with movies today is that they are chock full of 'movie celebrities.' Why should anyone care?

• Zellweger, hands down. Everything she does, including, scratch that, ESPECIALLY, Bridget Jones, is insufferable. Zellweger's nervous squint-y habit takes on the disturbing aspects of a Tourette's tic. Did her acting teachers never point out to her this distracting habitual mannerism? The others mentioned in the thread (Kidman, Jolie, Aniston, Bullock, et al) are all capable of wretched performances, but are also equally apt to do competent, if not better, work. I think Roberts is actually a brilliant comedienne, which will become more and more apparent as she gets older and is no longer expected to be the leading lady. Portman is hopeless--nevermind the films, her Nina (Seagull) in the Park with Streep was a disaster. At least ScarJo is getting respectable reviews for a View From the Bridge and did very good work in both Ghost World and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
