Why Was Alec Baldwin Rushed To The Hospital?

• He's a great, wonderfully talented actor. But using those talents to persuade your young daughter that you're about to off yourself is probably not the best personal or career move. Pretty near Nadir Country, in fact.

• Dr. Hasan Mongolwitz broke the news of Alex Baldwin's close call with death as he entered my son's ward at the pediatric wing (known locally as the sausage factory) here at Gaza General hospital to fit Ali with a prosthetic leg to replace the one blown off during the bombardment last week. The latest UN shipment of prosthetic legs was turned away at the border so Dr. Mongolwitz has turned his talent for improvization by fashioning fake limbs himself using crushed coke cans and some insulation from the rubble of what's left of the emergency ward next door. My little boy who would love some sleeping pills or any pain medication himself is thrilled with his new leg and prays that Alex feels better soon too.

• Ah, the Baldwin Boys of Massapequa Park. How strange they all turned out to be. The name "Baldwin" is actually in the slang dictionary because of them. The term describes a goodlooking guy who raises your social status if you date him." Ha. They turned out so weird you wonder what went down in that house when they were growing up. I actually like Alec. I like him in comedies (and SNL Boy Scout skits) and I think he's talented. I don't get the pairing with Martin, who did it by himself once already ("This show is being watched by roughly a billion people around the world, and everyone is thinking the exact same thing: That we're all gay") ... so why toss Alec in there. I don't get it.

• That obnoxious jerk-off is nothing but a fake tough guy who likes bullying women. Fuck him.

• Why have TWO actors from "It's Complicated" host? It's too much of a plug for one mediocre movie.

• What I want to know is why all of a sudden he's gained this "Hollywood Elder Statesman" role? Having him as host means I really won't be tuning in. He's not funny, he's not in shape, and he's not a good actor. Bravo, Oscars!

• Was he rushed to the hospital for overacting?
