• I'll go after comments I dont agree with, however I do not search the absence of the criticism of those with whom I do not agree.

• Can I make a suggestion? I feel youve got some thing great here. But what if you added one or two links to some page that backs up what you are saying? Or maybe you can give us anything to look at, anything that would connect what youre saying to something real? Just a proposition.

• Some of the comments are amusing to me. It's amazing how easy it is for some people to judge an individual. I wrote the story of my first relationship in an attempt to understand it. When I was done, I realized I had something others may be interested in. To me, real life is better than fiction. I thought some could benefit from shared experiences and/or just get a hoot out of the journey I had. As for kids, I've always wanted them. When I found and established a strong, loving relationship with someone, we decided to make that dream come true. Instantly life went from "black-and-white" to "color"... our son is so magical. He's a joy, and it's been the best experience ever sharing life with him. I believe we have so much to offer him in the way of showing him the wonders of our planet, people, culture... Being a parent is about learning every day. We're excited about the twin girls coming this summer. As for being a Catholic... I know the Church doesn't condone my way of life, but I embrace God. I think Jesus said, "Love thy neighbor" - that's something. Toxic Homosexual Love...? No, the relationship described in the book was dysfunctional and a bit toxic, but homosexual love isn't. At least not to my husband and me. As for surrogacy and the whole process of having the children... My sister-in-law is my hero. After 2 (two) tours in Iraq, and being separated from her own two young children, this woman has shown me what love really is. What she endured to have children for us is beyond words and we'll never be able to thank her. One comment listed here called this situation "gross". I gotta tell you, I've never seen anything more beautiful than this loving family I've been able to be a part of.
