RIP, Marie Osmond's Son

I can't pretend to know what was bothering Michael, but haven't I written over and over about the innate horror of being the child of a famous person?

Isn't life difficult enough without having to compete with your own creators, who are often consumed with career ambitions that fill a lot of their time and energy as they struggle to have it all?

Add to that a certain chirpy Mormon ethic that's long pervaded the Osmond clan and I'm not sure dark feelings are ever properly dealt with.

Marie herself has had issues through the years, after all. Our hearts go out to her in this very sad time.
