Which Jukebox Show Should Be Next?
In the upcoming months, Broadway will be playing host to jukebox musicals featuring the tunes of Sinatra, Elvis, Sondheim, and Ray Charles.
So who's left? Not that many!
But there ARE some remaining artists, and here are some splashy homages to them I'd plunk down money to see:
A Pat Benatar show called "Battlefield!"
A Celine Dion musical called "Heart!"
A grunge revue called "Smells Like Nirvana"
A Cher tuner called "Gypsies, Tramps, Half Breeds, and Dark Ladies"
A Lee Ann Womack extravaganza called "I Hope You Pay"
I should stop now. But please help me out with your own melodically riveting ideas.
