No Comeback for Patrick Swayze

Bad news for those hoping that the well-liked Patrick Swayze would get a second career wind from beyond.

One of the last movies made by the Ghost star was a period piece called Jump, in which he played the lawyer for a photographer who killed his father.

Sounds fascinating, but according to a friend of mine who just saw it, it wasn't (though there's a differently edited version making the rounds, which a recent festival audience seemed to like better).

Whatever the case, it's looking like Jump will hop straight to DVD at best.

To add even more bittersweetness, the film is dedicated to Christopher Penn for some reason.

Maybe Penn was set to play a role when he died?

Hollywood is a creepy place.
