Jaden Smith is the talented star of the Karate Kid remake, and obviously his folks, Will and Jada Smith are OK with him doing that.

In fact, Will produced the movie and reportedly nabbed him the part. And the kid previously starred with dad in the well received The Pursuit of Happyness.
But I'm hearing that though Jaden has done an Oprah show promoting the movie, and he'll do other selective press too, he's studiously avoiding doing that much promoting and he isn't even going on the p.r. tour with costar Jackie Chan.
Reporters are mystified, wondering why the 11-year-old can be a movie star but not answer questions.
Is someone afraid he'll be asked about Scientology or something?
