Self-Checkout Update: Machines Replace Humans at CVS!

A friend of mine just went to CVS drug store and found that at that particular branch, there were no cashiers left at all!
There, human workers have apparently become as passe as bath oil beads and plug-in alarm clocks.
It was strictly self-check-out, the people manning the registers replaced by the very machines we used to fear would be instrumental to our hard, cold future.
It's become a real-life episode of The Jetsons, minus the charm and the fun theme song.
But fortunately, people can't always figure out how to use those self-check-out machines, so there is one employee there in charge of helping the customers do so.
Thank God.
I can still cling to my worst-case scenario: "I can always get a job at CVS."
