The Most Boring Movie of All Time?
That's easy.
It was Meet Joe Black, the plodding, overlong meditation on life and death starring a wan Brad Pitt, a comatose Claire Forlani, and an annoying Anthony Hopkins.
After the 20-minute mark, I had already met Joe Black and eagerly wanted to move on -- but there were two hours and 38 minutes left!
A close runner-up is Last Year at Marienbad, the pretentious French 1961 yawnfest about stuffy people on a stairway in the middle of nowhere saying things like, "Didn't I see you last year at Marienbad?"
Third place: The bizarre Ava Gardner flick Pandora and the Flying Dutchman, which is loaded down with so much talk, talk, talk that you can't wait for the darned Dutchman to fly away.
Yawn, yawn, yawn.
