Colin Farrell's Weird Animal Fixation

In Peter Weir's The Way Back, a bitter-cold schlepp about Siberian Gulag escapees, Colin Farrell plays a thickly accented roughian who seems to use a lot of animal imagery in his conversation, often without what are grammatically known as "articles."

Early on, Colin snarls to a fellow escapee, "You stare at me like snake at rabbit!"

Moments later, he tells him, "You've been running around like a chicken without head."

Someone then mentions gratitude and Colin rasps, "Grateful is for dogs!"

What is with all the freakin' animal talk?

And that's not the end of it, by the way. Just at that moment, a cry is heard in the wilderness and then you hear the immortal:

"It's just wolf."

Oy.

Hmmm... while I've loved most of Peter Weir's past films this one sounds like a top contender for a camp fest award, perhaps along the lines of "Nell" (remember that one?)

And what about this tricky headline ripped from the home page of The Huffington Post today:"Second-Grade Teacher Disciplined After Oral Sex Stories Surface"

what say who?

Colin is forgiving for any transgressions if only for two things: His performance in In Bruges and telling the entire Oscars telecast of the time he spooned with Jeremy Renner. Thank you, Colin! I slept so well after that revelation.

Anything he does is OK with me.

Poor Colin used to get better roles. Still cute, though.
