Willow Palin To Star in Annie!
Kidding. That was just another attempt for me to get the Palin name into print so the whole family can become even more overexposed and hopefully implode.
It's actually Willow Smith--the little daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith--who looks ready to play Little Orphan Annie in a screen musical that daddy's in talks to do (with Jay-Z working on the musical angle).
I love the colorblind casting involved here. After all, Nell Carter played the evil Miss Hannigan once on Broadway, so why not let the nice characters be black?
And with Will & Jada's other kid, Jaden Smith, scoring so big with The Karate Kid, it's no wonder they're pimping out another offspring to Hollwood.
Something about the whole thing seems mildly distasteful yet commercially viable and totally right, and if you don't like it, you can whip my hair.
