Do You Follow Any Celebs on Twitter?

Lord knows I do.Part of the fun of the whole thing is that you can chase, I mean follow, anyone you want!

(It's not like Facebook, where both parties have to approve of the relationship. Twitter is so much easier for those with stars in their eyes! You just click and follow!)

On Twitter, I'm extremely, really, very, very closerthanthis with biggies like Adam Lambert, Elizabeth Taylor, Britney Spears, Jane Fonda, Maria Shriver, Rosie O'Donnell, and so many more.

(Notice Charlie Sheen is not on that list. I'm not much of an enabler.)

Granted most of those celebs don't follow me back -- an oversight, I'm sure -- but at least I can pursue them and read their every brain emission while succumbing to their continuing parade of feelings, promos, resentments, and brownie recipes.

I am totally tuned into their litany of thoughts and press releases, and it's totally marvy, darlings -- like being pen pals with the rich and famous and never having to write back!

Anyway, who do you follow? Charlie Sheen? Ooh, tell me what he's been tweeting!

Twitter gives you the impression that you can be close to your idol or the person you admire, at least I feel that way sometimes but then I remember I'm just 1 of many followers of them, but anyway I think this is the closest I'll be of some of them . LOL

I follow: Lady Gaga, Lisa Edelstein, Ellen, Olivia Wilde, Will.I.am...

Not plenty of celebs out there as politically astute, classy and lovely and following a healthy life for decadesNot plenty of celebs out there as politically astute, classy and lovely and following a healthy life for decades.

Not a single one. As my 94-year-old grandmother would say, "If these celebrities of yours jumped off a cliff, would you follow them?"

Sarah Silverman, Bill Maher, Jane Lynch (and Sue Sylvester), James Franco, Rosie O'Donnell, Howard Stern, Lindsay Lohan, Anderson Cooper, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brian, Joy Behar, Roger Ebert, Michael Moore, Keith Olbermann, Kathy Griffin, Lady Gaga, Cher, Kristin Chenoweth, Adam Lambert, and some porn "stars."

And I was one of the first people to follow you @mikeymusto, and you followed me back! You're a mensch.

Your friend Lisa Edelstein. She's the sole reason I watch House. HL's character gets old as crankypants. Cuddy is much more interesting. Lisa E is very talented, influenced my vegetarianism interest and I'm going to start Yoga because of how great she looks. Not too many celebs out there as politically astute, classy and lovely plus following a healthy life for decades. Plus she's funny as hell! Do more stories on her for godsakes. We need hot 40+ women like her in the media's eye!

Mostly p.r., but some are more amusing than others. Kelly Osbourne's probably a hoot.

PS: Does anyone find the celebrity tweets rewarding or is it mainly a bunch of p.r.?

I follow more than 20. After Courtney Love tweeted me back I got hooked. Besides I want to know what Cher and Taylor Momsen are up to. Andy Dick is very good at twitter content. Some of the celebs, like Sharon Osbourne who I think is great but..., she mostly promotes projects on twitter. Some celebrities use it to connect with fans. Tom Green is another good one. I also have added some writers and bloggers and then looked at who they follow and I tend to follow comedians, artists, and people that write about pop culture.

Michael, we were friends on Facebook before but I don't use that account anymore. You actually added me first, it was the biggest thrill (until Courtney wrote back haha) and anyway Facebook won't let me send you a message asking you to add because they think I'm a stalker/spammer. So anyway if you want to add me again I'm here.http://www.facebook.com/profil...

Well, I'm not going to un-do my following her on Twitter. I'm hoping someone comes out with pronouncements on her behalf.

Jane Fonda and Adam Lambert too!

The only blatant endorsement use of Twitter I've seen is from the Kardashians, they tweet ads for everything, all of them. I honestly don't even think they input those tweets themselves, they're always somewhat better written then their usual crap.

Otherwise it all depends on who you follow. Mindy Kaling is a good read as are most of her comedy compatriots from the clubs and UCB and the like.
