For some time now, I've spotted her on NY1, doing a smash-up job with the news, and wondering, "Where do I know that name from?"

And I've finally figured it out!

Vivian Lee was the female lead in the film classic Gone With the Wind!

She played Scarlett Johansson or something.

Duh.

And now she's pepping up our local news channel in an inspiring career change, having survived the burning of Atlanta and the death of the old studio system!

I am thrilled to pieces that this two-time Oscar winner is in our midst and still working, forking over the local news with daily aplomb.

There's just one thing:

She's been so lifted she's starting to look Asian!

I thought Viv would at least get on a national channel.

Oh, lovely Vivien Leigh. The world's most beautiful actress.

Um, ViviEn Leigh starred in "GWTW." I always thought she had the star quality to be on the news in 2011 even back in 1939. She has aged remarkably well, too. Although she didn't look quite so Asian in 1939.

WHAT are you smoking?

The thing is though that she seems to have really had some work done. More and more Asian women, especially those in the public eye, are getting their eyelids redone to make themselves look more Caucasian.

For those who give a damn:

Mary Hart has been the host of the syndicated gossip and entertainment round-up program Entertainment Tonight since 1982.

Leigh was born Vivian Mary Hartley

Vivian Hartley met (Herbert) Leigh Holman in 1931, they were married on 20 December 1932.

John Gliddon her agent, believed that the name "Vivian Holman" was not suitable for an actress. After rejecting his suggestion, "April Morn", she took "Vivian Leigh" as her professional name.
