Jason Patric Calls Ashley Judd "Lazy, Selfish, and Arrogant"

That's what he just told Entertainment Weekly about his co-star in the 2003 Broadway revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

It's odd that Patric waited eight whole years for this tempestuous trashing.

Ned Beatty -- who played Big Daddy in the same production -- ripped apart both Judd and Patric way back in 2003, in a controversial Times interview that disrupted the whole town!

Beatty said he liked both actors personally, but he felt they were ill-equipped for their parts.

Re: Judd: "She is a sweetie, and yet she doesn't have a whole lot of tools. But she works very hard."

Re: Patric: "He's gotten better all the time, but his is a different journey."

Beatty concluded that a lot of film actors should not be used for stage productions because they simply don't have what it takes.

Well, let me add my two theatrical cents and say that Patric was not good at all in Cat, but he's way more effective as another soused character in the current That Championship Season. He's perfected his drunk act.

So can we all be friends now? Unless Patric wants to suddenly give an interview saying Ned Beatty was a pig.

I saw the production: Ashley, from the south, had no accent as Maggie. Patric, nervous about wearing flimsy pajama bottoms, wore CK black boxer briefs underneath. Big Daddy and Mamma of course stole the show. This was also the prod where Ashley took off matinees to walk her dog!

Ashley always gives the impression of being embarrassed to be seen by her white-trash Mom and closeted sister Wynonna.

Maybe Jason should ask Beatty to "squeal like a pig" a la his Deliverance days. Hate to agree with pompous Patric but I have the same low opinion of Ashley Judd. Talk about pompous and pretentious. It's like she studied all the great divas of history and adopted their most irritating characteristics.

What does that even mean? When has Ashley Judd ever shown a pompous, pretentious, or diva persona? She stays out of the limelight so much I'm suprised you have an inkling of her personality.

I have an idea. Put the words "Ashley Judd" and "Pretentious" into Google and see what pops up!! (I love Google.) Don't feel badly for Ash. She's rich, has a race car man and a castle in Scotland, where I'm sure she plays lady of the manor to one and all.

What bee got up his butt? He must have decided to go the Charlie Sheen route and start telling the 'truth' even if it hurts (others).

The only thing I like about Jason Patric (actually adore) is his chest. It seems after "Cat" the only way he could a get a great part on Broadway again was to make it a condition of granting production rights for a main stem revival that would provide him the juiciest role in Daddy's play.

and let's not forget that daddy wrote the play.

his current play, "that championship season."

I'm pretty sure Tennessee Williams wrote the play.

The Championship Season was written by Patric's father.

Ashley should respond, "I may be lazy and selfish, but I am not arrogant! How very dare you!"

I saw that "Cat" and would say that Ashley was marginally better than he was. He was downright awful. Best were Ned Beatty and Margo Martindale as the old folks.

Who the fuck does he think HE is??? Does he think his shit don't stink?
