As you know from this blog, Chloe Dzubilo was a fierce activist for the rights of transsexuals and people with AIDS.

Chloe died recently when she went to a subway station, disoriented from medication, and tragically ended up on the tracks.

I hear that her memorial at Judson Church on Saturday was a fittingly beautiful affair.

One of the highlights had actress Rosario Dawson (from Josie and the Pussycats and Rent) getting up to speak about her close friend Chloe.

Rosario said that when Chloe was transitioning, she didn't know how to handle the cat calls from the folks at the local bodega.

Chloe pleaded with Rosario, "You have to help me. I don't know what to do. Teach me something in Spanish."

So Rosario put on her best method-actress thinking cap and promptly taught her, "I am not feeling you!" in Spanish.

Well, I am totally feeling Rosario right now!

Thanks to my friend Brian Belovitch for the anecdote.
