Radcliffe's Costar Shocked By His Tony Dis

Tammy Blanchard plays Hedy LaRue in the How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying revival, and got Tony-nominated for it, while star Daniel Radcliffe was famously omitted.

Well, at the nominees meet-and-greet today, the talented Blanchard -- whom you know as young Judy Garland in the Me and My Shadows TV movie, and from Gypsy with Bernadette Peters -- gave me her take on this turn of events:

"Everybody was shocked," she told me.

"For me, if you nominate the supporting players and give recognition to the director, I don't know how they leave out the lead when he led us to where we are.

"Some leads put walls and some open doors, and Daniel is the latter.

"Maybe the universe is saying, 'He's young and he'll be able to play many roles he wants to play.'

"Maybe the universe knows that he doesn't need it as much as me, a struggling single mother.

"But we did this together. To have a piece of you not there is painful. It's bittersweet.

"He's fine, though," she added, poignantly.

"He said, 'Tammy, you know I'm OK, right?' "

He's alright. Him having to say that proves he isn't. Why don't you show some damn class and say I am happy I got nominated while the star of the show and the reason you have a paycheck coming in was trashed. FUCK BROADWAY!!!He is being mocked in the press and this will have an effect on a young man who was trying to prove himself. He now is back to being Harry Potter. Anyone who thinks he'll get another chance is a lying sack of shit

A couple of questions for you:1. When you say "He is being mocked in the press," could you provide links? Please keep in mind blogs are not "the press."2. Have you seen the show? Or are you sticking by your "FUCK BROADWAY" statement and giving out reviews and opinions on things about which you know nothing?

How to Succeed is selling near-capacity every performance. The show has a great lead, a great supporting cast, great direction, great sets, great lighting, great costuming. The show is great. I have seen it twice and am planning my next viewing.

Lastly, I am confused by your final thoughts. You said "He now is back to being Harry Potter. Anyone who thinks he'll get another chance is a lying sack of shit." I suppose you're right. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the final movie in the series. Daniel Radcliffe will not get another chance to be Harry Potter. A good observation on your part, but I am confused as to how that statement fits in to any of your previous argument.

As for his future on Broadway, I have no doubt he will continue to be a huge success. Take care.

Come on. We're talking TONY here. Music Man beats West Side Story. Not the real world.

Enough already with the Rad-Cliffy notes. Naked, he was a hit. In clothes, as Belle Poitrine wrote of her husband Letch Feeley, "He didn't project."

Ben Brantley, writing about the Tony choices today, mentioned "War Horse," saying, ""Hey, I like horses.I've even gone out with a couple."

What EVER could he mean, Mr. Musto?

Hmm. Must have been well hung.

Loved her as Judy Garland and i Rabbit Hole and I'm thrilled to learn she is just a little bit nutty.
