Animal Movies Are On The Attack!

Water for Elephants, Kung Fu Panda 2, and Mr. Popper's Penguins weren't the end of it!

Either in theaters now or stampeding to them any minute are the following wildlife extravaganzas that will shed and take a poop all over a cineplex near you:

Turtle: The Incredible Journey. Sounds a little slow.

One Lucky Elephant. Yeah, it got lucky when it wasn't cast in Water for Elephants.

Zookeeper. Kevin James finds himself more comfortable with a lion than a lady. Even a cougar lady.

Project NIM. An upcoming doc about a chimp who was raised as a human, but got over it. Jacko would have loved this.

The Woman With the Five Elephants. In this case the elephants aren't actual animals, but still!

Can we please go back to people titles!!!

Except for Winnie the Pooh! I love Winnie!

My favorite was "Frogs," where croackers attacked Ray Milland and "Night of the Lepus," where giant bunny rabbits chased Janet Leigh.

"THEM!" (the giant ants) scared the shit out of me when I was a kid.

I remember buying "Mr. Popper's Penguins" for a cousin at the B&N in Union Sq when I was 8. I still haven't read the book myself, and I'm not a huge fan of Jim Carrey, but I actually really want to see the movie. As for Winnie the Pooh, I used to carry around an Eeyore doll everywhere I went so those furry friends are always cool in my book. :)

Does Morgan Freeman narrate any of these, by chance?
