Jarrett Barrios, the head of GLAAD, has resigned due to the big mess that started when a GLAAD letter went out backing the AT&T/T-Mobile mega-merger.

It turns out AT&T has reportedly sponsored GLAAD to the tune of $50,000.

Let's hope this ends the era where GLAAD threatened to stand for Gays Licking Ass to Advance Demselves.

This dickweed should be required to return the gross salary he has made in the past by ripping off those who donated.  This shit is getting pretty commonplace with these groups who put themselves on a higher level and think they have the right to make decisions for all of us.

I've blogged recently on Jarrett Barrios' committee in MA, which has $500,000-plus in the bank: http://mpetrelis.blogspot.com/... .Also, here's some info I'm sharing about the new IRS 990 for GLAAD that will be available for public inspection in mid August: http://mpetrelis.blogspot.com/... .

The GLAAD mess should force all of us to really scrutinize Gay Inc orgs and how they operate.

WOW...just read the whole "back story"...just shows you how they put themselves in the "sellout/buyout" position...and then try to blame the assistant!  SAAD.

One might think with all of the incredible amount of talent and brilliance within the gay community that it wouldn't have become so incredibly difficult to find just a few outstanding, media-savvy, charismatic and unifying leaders among us. News of Jarrett Barrios was hugely disappointing. The HRC is another colossal mess holding on, only by the skin of its teeth, being run by the ineffective leadership of Joe Solmonese. Admittedly these are not easy jobs in a difficult climate, but our 'Velvet Mafia' approach to appointing and anointing leadership is getting us nowhere fast.
