Andy was quite sexy in the movie, A Face in the Crowd. He played a butch hick and he was hot. Like Fred MacMurray was hot in Double Indemnity before he played the sexless dad in My 3 Sons (Robbie, the oldest son, was hot too!).

My parents moved our family from Indianapolis to suburban Chicago in the 1970s. Although neither were native Hoosiers, they always held a sentimental yen for the years we lived in Indiana. Years later, when both had retired, I'd visit their Evanston home every Memorial Day weekend to relish them enjoying Jim Nabors on TV, singing "Back Home Again in Indiana" prior to the start of the Indianapolis 500 auto race.

That said, I can never hate Jim Nabors for any reason.
