Scary Ramifications of Murdoch Mess

First of all, a guy who blew the whistle on the whole phone-hacking scandal was found dead yesterday. He was in his forties. They're not sure how he died, but the cops will look into it. The same corrupt cop force that's embroiled in this whole shady can of worms!

But another problem is that Murdoch's empire could be affected by the grisly demise of the News of the World.

The story is so big that even Fox News, which Murdoch owns, had to cover his appearance before a parliament committee today. I'm sure they were thrilled.

And what about the New York Post?

Sure, their slanted politics are twisted, their biases are blinding, and their coverage of gay marriage was insufficient, but I need the gossip!

Let's not let a little phone-hacking disaster and a mysterious death get in the way of my daily dish!

Let's not lose our heads here!

I wonder if the descendants of William Fox (of Fox Film Corporation which merged with Twentieth Century Pictures which became 20th Century Fox which Murdoch purchased and started cannibalizing the name Fox to apply to anything he owned) can sue to have their name taken back....

Wouldn't it be nice?  No more Faux News.  They could change it to, say, Rupert Murdoch News.  They can change their slogan to "And that's the truth, the whole truth, and nuttin' but the truth, so help me Rupert."

More likely they drove the guy to suicide.

As my Italian amante for thirty years would say. "If you piss the wrong person off, thier juice can make it look like it was an act of Potenza Dio! Capace di comprensione? Any thing can be made to look like what ever it is wanted to look like! Even di morte.

And now Piers Morgan's name has come up (he used to brag about phone hacking when he worked for the Daily Mirror). Will that spell the end of Piers? (I hope!!!!))

Also, some lame comedian tried to throw a pie in James Murdoch's face. pathetic. probably works for Howard Stern show.

Ahh, I wouldn't be too scared for the Post....yet.  They've been around for 210 years now (and it still amazes me that it was founded by Alexander Hamilton!!) and have been through worse catastrophes than this (remember all the hoo-ha in the early 90's with parking garage "magnate" Abe Hirschfeld at the helm?).  Hopefully, Murdoch will have the ownership ripped from his hands, just as it happened in 1988, when he was forced to sell the paper to satisfy federal media anti-trust rulings (before somehow getting the paper back in 1993).  The Post's politics are loathesome, it's true, but somehow, I demand it daily.  Someone else is bound to buy it from the ruined Murdoch.

The Post's coverage of the story appeared on page 35 today. I was wondering if they'd give it any room at all. What a riot.

Michael! We can get the daily dish from YOU. The demise of the Evil Empire of Murdoch is NOTHING but thrilling.

Fox is probably only showing it because they think it's a really noble and face saving exercise in telling the truth before parliament.

Well, Murdoch has BECOME the daily dish.
