Simon Cowell Thinks Ryan Seacrest Is Insincere

Can you imagine that?

He probably also thought William Hung was off key!

Anyway, in the new TV Guide, the X Factor king says Ryan's basically as phony as a three dollar bill.

As Cowell recalls (while having an imaginary chat with the absent Ryan for the interviewer), "I'd say, 'Remember all the people who cried in these auditions?' and you'd say, 'I'm going to miss you so much. I care so much about you.'

"Have you ever picked up the phone and said 'Are you OK?' The answer is never. It's all for TV.

"The difference with me is I have no qualms saying whether I like you or dislike you. I find it more unkind when you give someone false hope."

To me, Ryan calling would be more like a threat than anything involving hope.

(Kidding. I actually find him semi sort of cutelet in a three-dollar-bill sort of way.)

Sounds like a nasty bromance breakup!  I've felt guilty for years about the fact that I find munchkin Ryan slightly attractive...

Don't we ALL now know that "Reality TV" has absolutely nothing to do with anyone's reality except the producers and exhibitionists getting rich from it?

And Simon and Ryan are both huge closet cases.  SO I've been told...

True, the context of  it is that people think Simon is mean, but he's saying there's more to it than that. And agreed, this all comes from reality so take it with a grain of whatever,

I think his point is that he's considered the mean one for being 'honest', but the niceness of the nice ones isn't even real. But it's kind of a surreal conversation to be having about American Idol since it's full of the fakery of reality television.

I will NEVER forgive the big old wannabe poufter for being mean to my Paula!!! But he can be mean to Simon all he wants. Blech.

Having that third-person conversation is one of the weirdest things I've ever heard. Looney bin time, Simon?

Seacrest got in the biz through Merv Griffin

his Kardashian show is full of closet cases (the younger brother, Kourtney's "fiance", Kim's "husband", and the two publicists)

forget about 'Idol' hiding its contestant's sexuality, E! has more of a gay problem (and DWTS does too, all of the male pro dancers are gay and only one is out and proud)
