Brace Yourselves For Two Vacation Weeks

I'm not sure how you'll be able to go on, let alone me!

But I've accrued two more weeks off and I'm seizing them in order to take a chill pill, deal with some stuff, and try to flush clichés like that out of my system.

I'll be posting my column this Wednesday, but otherwise, I'm hanging as low as a Republican's scrotum, so be sure to check in and make sure I haven't faded away from the lack of public dishing, like that other big fairy, Tinkerbell, would without applause.

Pray for me. Or do something on your knees for me.

And brace yourselves for a deep-dish December that will warm the holiday treat right out of your pie tin.

Mwahcakes.

Hello Michael,   I just wanted to let you know that I recently wrote a book about Rock Hudson.  In it is the real story of Marc Christian and Rock's relationship.  I was there every day as I was Rock's estate manager.  I was the one to physically remove Marc from the estate.

You must read this book as it sets everything aside and tells history in the form of the truth.  It is titled "At Home" with Rock Hudson: Behind the walls of his life.   With a special tribute to Elizabeth Taylor.

I was a good friend of hers as well.  I was Rock's caregiver, Tom Clark's Caregiver and George Nader's Caregiver till the end of their lives.  George Nader was my god father.

Hope you have a great time off, Mikey!  Your fans appreciate your wit but even you need a little breather.

Frankly, I don't know how you do it everyday, no matter HOW many vacation weeks you get.  Who, amongst us, could keep a lively chat, such as this blog, going non-stop, monthly, weekly, daily and keep it hilarious, interesting and relevant? (or even hilariously irrelevant??).  Enjoy your holiday.  Is Grossinger's still open?  And don't worry....we'll still be waiting for you when you return.  I'm sure you'll have plenty of tales to tell upon your return.  HAVE FUN!!!

Part of me feels that you should be at the beck-and-fucking call of your loyal readership, but part of me knows that what with writing constantly, riding that goddam bike to nightly folderol, flogging your book, etc., you do indeed need some down time.

But don't make a habit of it, like Letterman.

And for Christ's sake, turn off the phone or get your ass somewhere where no one can reach you for some "west and wewaxation at wast," as Bugs Bunny would say.

Never forgetting your promise for a juicy Blind Items column when you return.

"Au reservoir!"

Savannah's right - something irresistibly writable always happens when you're on vacay, as if celebs want to make sure they can misbehave with utter impunity. How about a compromise - a whole month (4 weeks instead of 2) of rest, but with work every other day? Please? (Not that I'd ever want that for myself, but then I'm not some star dishing diva, duh.)

OK Michael you deserve a break, but I just can't help feeling something incredibly dishy will happen in the meanwhile...(i.e. Pines fire)...give me strength!

I will be at the Marsha P. Johnson film tonight (hopefully to see some faces I haven't seen in a while)...pay me no mind.

By the way, last night I went to Blind Tiger, which is the arty new room at Vandam, the Kenny Kenny/Susanne Bartsch Sunday bash at Greenhouse. It's fabulously '80s redux, with mind-tripping paintings, slides, and sculptures--and they'll change every month, just like at Area in the old days (though the overall feel of it is more Kenny Scharf Room at the Palladium). To add to the trip, Joey Arias was hosting Boy George's niece and nephew, who are twins, and looked about 14, but I'm sure were older. They were so cute--the girl sporting that impish face  and the boy looking like a Norbert Leo Butz type, crossed with something from Willy Wonka. They were all over each other all night--not in an incestuous way, mind you, but just in a British way. Their presence somehow enhanced the evening's artsiness. But back to my vacation.
