Chuck Holmes founded Falcon Studios, helping to bring porn out of the bookstores and into the living room, but he did so much more than that.

He helped fund the gay movement with his profits, being one of the people who erected HRC (the Human Rights Campaign).

And Holmes found that though his money was welcome, his association wasn't always.

Well, now someone is asking for money for a Holmes project.

Michael Stabile is doing an extremely vivid documentary about Holmes, and his Kickstarter campaign lets you be a part of it.

Stabile promises "recherche gay fundraisers, orgies at the Regency, cocktail parties at Halston's, rare onyx dildos, nonoxynol-9 booty bumps, and lots of boys."

None of the things you get in War Horse!

Holmes, it's worth noting, was the first one to start shaving his models. If you wondered why we were all blond and hairless in the 80s and 90s, you needn't look any further. We've been working on the project for three years, but have hit a financial wall (mostly rights and footage costs). So we're essentially doing pre-sales of the film to fund it. Check it out!
