• I met him in Person.. My name is Enjoy Enjoie; I flew from Italy to LA to break into the Music Bis. Somehow, we, my ex-husband Fiorenzo Nisi and i got into his office for a meeting. he was very professional, very tall very handsome, dressed to kill and very gay. We also met his young lover and personal ass. we went out to lunch together, and I can tell you that he was gay. Oh by the way, I am Black.

• i never heard any of the black, gay sistas talk about it. now, the black, gays have said...was gay; such and such was gay; but don cornelius...never heard the sistas discuss that issue before. i´ll check it out with my afro sistas, tho, and see if it´s true. never even heard wendy williams touch that 1! is that why he never let sylvester perform on soul train because he would be exposing himself? i don´t go by speculation and rumours. but i have heard...was gay...and...was gay.i´m not one to gossip! wubba; wubba!

• thank you for this blog/write up/news--mister musto! don cornelius was a revolution in (black) american television! the hippest trip in america! channel 5; saturday mornings! broke many black artists: chaka khan and rufus, shalamar, etc. love, peace, and soul! r.i.p. mister cornelius! and thank you! for making my saturday mornings (worth getting out of bed for). didn´t miss a show back in the day!

• can you prove that he was gay? i would assume that you are white (american) and homosexual! ("what a guy!" "let´s enjoy the reruns" "the name, the style, the class"....give me a break...is that all you have to say? proves you were never there!)

• Since would be very relevant factors if true, apparently he had health problems and a rocky marriage, which many speculate was a long term marriage of convenience because he was gay. Back in the day you couldn't drop that kind of double whammy of folks... it was enough getting accepted on tv for being black. After all the years there was probably never a good time to out himself, seemed like a private guy that was low key. Guess time will tell regarding all of his life's personal details.  Let's just enjoy reruns of Soul Train and remember the better side to his life story. What a guy! The name, the style, the class, that VOICE.
