Rihanna And Chris Brown Together Again: Ugh

Categories: Rihanna

Three years after he brutally attacked her in a way that made international headlines, Chris Brown sings on a new Rihanna remix, and she returns the favor by crooning on one of his.

Could you just cry?

As you'll recall, Rihanna started softening almost immediately, and she eventually allowed a judge to lessen the restraining order she has against Chris.

(He obviously lessened it a lot if they recorded together.)

And the public, guided by the music industry itself, obviously is experiencing the same pangs of forgiveness and acceptance.

After all, Chris's number was cheered at the Grammys last week, and he even copped an award there while many non-lawbreakers sat there empty-handed.

In showbiz, success tends to make past horrors melt away, and that only leads to more success.

So should we just get behind Chris's redemption, especially since he's selling lots of records? (He creates hits, as it were.)

The guy went through all the requisite apologizing and counseling, and he hasn't acted up again, as far as we know.

As a result, does Chris deserve this second shot at fame (and at Rihanna's attention -- if not her face)?

And if you said yes, were you ever looking forward to an O.J. and Nicole duet?

What is wrong with her? She needs counciling, probably more than Chris does. Women have to stay away from Chris but won't. Seems like Rihanna would have learned by now-she has to-she's going to end up dead. And oh how I love her music, but I really don't want to buy it with her being even one mile from Chris Brown. I can't believe how some people STILL don't get how terribly serious this situation is, how terrible it was. NO one should have anything to do with Chris Brown. He should still sing? That's like saying OJ should have still played football after killing Nicole. We have a lot of sick and troubled people in America. That means you too, Rihanna. Quit making excuses for him or yourself Rihanna and quit being in denial. I guess being killed is ok with you and others. And it tells Chris it's ok. How are you going to feel if he kills someone?

So are we all gonna act shocked when he kills her? Just like Winehouse? Are we gonna have "The Rihanna show" like "The Whitney show" when just hadshoved down our throats for a week? A dope addict dies and an abuser gets a second shot at his "VICTIM". Get ready for it.

After all the publicity and sympathy she milked from it, I officially give up. Not just with them, but the general accepted idiocy of the world. I'm going to have someone jam that crayon back into my brain. If you can't beat them, join them. If you can do both, you're chris brown.

I thing she is being naive. Unless he goes thru at least a 1yr rehab he will likely do it again. Anger Management is nothing to take lightly. Hopefully whe wll live and learn.

I was abused for 5 years...it's nothing to joke about nor do I feel empathy towards the men who do this. But just as I changed enough to remove myself from that situation..The men can change as well, as Long as they make no excuses for themselves & truly received help to look at their behavoir & tools to continue doing so.

So is their next duet a remake of "Beat Me, Daddy, Eight to the Bar" ?

Ah, the joys of two crackheads in love. Let me guess, they're going to do a duet at the next big music awards show, reviving that classic "The Beat Goes On." She can play Cher, and he can play the bongos on her head.

Rhianna loves the limelight and is forever looking for a way to shock her audience.

What is more shocking than hooking up with the ex who beat your ass?

I am a super feminist but I am going to write this anyway although I know it will offend a lot of people.

There are women who gravitate to unstable men with violent tendencies because they love the drama and the unpredictability of these types of relationships. They don't necessarily want to get their asses beat but they do love the thrill of being with a volatile person.

Beyond that, Chris Brown is a 23 year old. I think he should be allowed to recover his humanity rather than be lynched for a moment he had 3 or 4 years ago when he was what? 12 years old ?with his ex-girlfriend. I think he is young enough to get his shit together.

I do not condone violence against women or make excuses for men and women who feel justified in striking or abusing their SO because that SO "provoked" them into do so.

I have always thought if you are involved with someone who "provokes" you enough to strike them, you should not be with that person.

So true. And sometimes they love the fighting and making up. All the apologizing and flowers and "I love you" and "I'll never do it again" appeals to them. Sad. There should be interventions for this kind of thing.

Men who hit women (and looking at rihanna, it was not only a little slap) will do it again, I don't see how him selling records is any relevant in that matter

Have you actually listened the song? 'Cake' is almost as bad as hearing about.

Chris's first line is 'I can't wait to fuck you' 'Girl I've missed your body'

Remind's me of the Joan Rivers joke about Tina Turner playing blackjack with Ike. And Tina asking Ike to 'Hit Me'.

My jaw dropped when he was brought out for a number and it dropped even lower when he won. What does it take to get the music biz to hate you??
