Diane Keaton: "I've Never Had Plastic Surgery"

Probably because she's had surgery on the face but not the neck.

She must have an ugly neck as she always wears stupid collars on everything.

I love Diane Keaton, but why is she lying ? Thats why I respect Joan Rivers - she calls these people out . No 66 year old woman likes like this without a lift. It's just a freakin fact. But no one wants to admit they had help. We'll still love her - but c'mon Diane, don't kid a kidder.

she's not done anything.

She's probably doing something to keep her chin up but it's not surgery.  I'm excited because I get to post two "brushes with celebrity" stories (see my later Lea DeLaria comment).  I briefly met Ms. Keaton and complimented her documentary "Heaven", she said said she was surprised anybody remembered it and was quite charming in our brief interaction.   Usually the public persona is not the private, but the weird thing was, she seemed to be exactly the personality she projects.

She still looks great and I don't really care if she's had work done or not.

She can do no wrong in my book and here's why:

In the early 1980s, I was co-producing Sam Shepard's "Fool for Love" at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. My producing partner and myself always liked to have a visual art exhibit in the lobby of the theater that had some relationship to the play. "Fool" takes place entirely in a motel room.

I had seen Keaton's  photos of motel rooms, which were fascinating. But how to get in touch with her? I had a friend who was an assistant art editor at LIFE magazine (anybody remember LIFE?) who was also a major movie memorabilia collector. So I called him and he told me the name of Keaton's assistant. I called him up and he passed the phone to Keaton and I explained what we wanted to do. She knew the play, of course, wanted to know when it opened and how many photos would we need. I told her nine, three on each wall. A week before we opened, crates arrived with 11 blow-ups of her photos. She called to make sure they'd gotten there safely and said she'd given us more than we asked for, so we could have a choice. She asked only that the photos be returned to her.

What's the female equivalent of a "mensch"? That's what Diane Keaton is.

No work. She looks great.

She looks lifted but maybe she just has amazing genes.

Maybe she had to go to psychotherapy to work out her having intercourse before marriage.

There is nothing wrong with using surgery or injections to enhance or improve what you have.You just have to know when to stop.
