Tonight at 1 A.M. on Channel 13, the long-running Theater Talk presents its usual array of experts offering educated guesses as to who'll cop the Tony awards on June 10.

Jesse Green (New York magazine), Patrick Pacheco (LA Times, NY 1), and I offer our picks as to whether it'll be:

*Once or Newsies (both based on movies, unshockingly enough)

*Tracie Bennett, Nina Arianda, or Linda Lavin (all forces of nature)

*The Oscar winner playing the great American role or the funny British chub who pretends his audience interaction is spontaneous

*A big sleep-inducing bore or a funfest like last year's telecast.

Hosts Susan Haskins and Michael Riedel offer their own choices too, and if the resulting show doesn't get an Emmy, there is no Godspell.

Me, sardonically rooting for Bonnie & Clyde.

Michael,Tony betting pools are not won by deciding between Once or Newsies but in the supporting categories. I'm hoping Salesman doesn't sweep because I want Judith Light (Patron Saint to the Gays) to win! And Jayne Houdyshell! And every other crumb that Linda Lavin tossed aside for a funny role in a play that doesn't belong on Broadway even though Lavin does. Always!

"Tony betting pools are not won by deciding between Once and Newsies." Yes, they are. People are divided on that.
