A crazed gunman opened fire during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in a Denver suburb and killed 12 people, injuring 50 others.
The Dark Knight rose indeed.
And suddenly there is such a thing as bad press.
This is a truly sad and horrible moment.
I know. This is no more the fault of a movie than past violence was the result of Ozzy Osbourne songs. Insane behavior is illogical and not tied to any one thing in the culture.
But I'm sure that if some sane person was carrying in the theatre, they could've opened fire and everything would've been okay, because that NRA or whatever member would only have hit the crazed gunman and not any other people frantically running around a darkened and smoke-filled theatre.
