Love, Christopher Street is a new "volume of original essays, representing some of the most talented and diverse voices in the LGBT community.

"These 26 pieces contain revealing, intense, profound, funny, and queer reflections that span 40 years of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender life in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island, and combine to create a love letter to New York City."

Most loving of all is the straightforwardly titled chapter, "An Interview With Michael Musto" by Kathleen Warnock.

Here's a taste.

As I've said before, the people who really know, KNOW the value of your contribution. This negates all the idiotic comments I've been reading on your blog lately.

You belong there and more than in passing.  Yours has been the contribution of more than a reporter but our diarist as well.  I am a third of the way into the remarkable Linda Hirshman work "Victory" wjich deserves full attention for its depth and story of how we got here.  Be proud.  Be very proud.

Christopher Street would make a great name for a drag king.
