"These are images of people whose lives I shared and whom I think I understood," wrote Christer Stromholm in his 1983 photo book, Les Amies De Place Blanche.

"These are images of women--biologically born as men--that we call 'transsexuals'.

"As for me, I call them 'my friends of place Blanche.' This friendship started here in the early '60s and it still continues."

Thanks to Christian Freedom for lending me the amazing book, which includes these trans-cendant images, and many, many more.

Enjoy, mes amis.

Thank-you! Gorgeous! Reminds me of the late Christine Jorgensen (May 30, 1926 NYC– May 3, 1989 Dana Point CA). Wonderful lady. Did you ever meet her, Mr Musto? Just wondering. Cheers, Roger
