Liza Minnelli: "I Feel About 112 Years Old."

Yes, that's what Liza Minnelli told New York Times's Jacob Bernstein.

But that's just when she's not being hit by a follow spot.

Here's her full statement:

"From the waist up, I'm Dorothy's daughter.

From the waist down, I'm the Tin Man's kid.

I feel about 112.

Until I hit that stage, and then age disappears."

Great quote.

Descriptive, funny, self-deprecating--everything a celebrity quote should be.

But enough about her.

I happen to be mentioned in the article.

And I'm in two photos in the paper! You can see them in the slide show--images 2 and 8--with pals like Lynn Yaeger and Robin Byrd.

And I don't look a day over 111 (though from the waist down, I'm pretty tinny myself).

I thought Dorothy said she would miss the scarecrow most of all (they must have had an off-camera roll in the hay).

Liza always has been, always will be, one helluva talent.

No matter what the circumstances, she always delivers.

The first thing I thought about when we lost Marvin Hamlisch was the song "The Travelin' Life," which  Hamlisch wrote for Liza and which she performed at the London Palladium concerts with her mother.

Last time I saw either one was at Sardi's. Liza and Liz Smith were at one table and Hamlisch came over and it was old home week for them all.

Wait, didn't she marry the tin man's kid? Now I'm confused...
