What Celebrities Had To Say About Clint Eastwood's Chair Routine

Categories: Politics

At the Republican convention last night, Clint Eastwood made jaws drop by talking to an empty chair--no, not one of the ones from the theater for his last movie.

It was supposed to represent Obama, who was invisible (though I'm pretty sure I heard him cackling from miles away) as the Oscar winner taunted the Prez, criticized him, and no doubt returned him to Ikea afterwards.

And the twitter boards lit up like it was the Jerry Lewis telethon.

Tweeted Adam Levine: "Clint Eastwood has gone f-king nutterbutters yo"

Bill Maher: "Wow. Who knew Clint Eastwood was such a down the line rightwing a-hole?"

And Jason Biggs: "Clint Eastwood talking to a non-responsive stool sorta sums up Christianity in a nutshell, huh Republicans?"

Hey, Clint: Sit down!

Is he a 'down the line right wing a-hole? I thought he supported gay marriage and when he was talking to the chair he seemed like he was anti-war. Maybe it's Bill Maher who's the a-hole.

It was The Gong Show by Chuck Barris!

I wanted to see Gene, Gene the Dancing Machine.

"F-in nutterbutters yo" is the understatement of the year.
