Authentic Russian Food In The Village

I already had fond thoughts about Onegin because that's the place where the Borough President had a bash to declare Michael Musto Appreciation Day a few months ago!

And when I had my own little Russian food appreciation night there on Tuesday, it was even more fulfilling.

My Chicken Kiev (above, right) was succulent and so was my friend's honey-glazed Chilean sea bass, done Russian style, with creamy lobster mashed potatoes.

And look at the dessert tray the kids at the next table were enjoying! (Below.)

Oink!

The place is comfy and relaxed--they're Russian, but they ain't rushin'--and it may prove to be one of the better developments in international affairs since glasnost.

"They're Russian, but they ain't rushin" is my new mantra. Gotta get that on a pillow.
