"Binders Full Of Women" Is Romney's New Big Bird

With each debate, Mitt Romney says a bunch of hogwash, but one remark tends to stand out as particularly egregious every time.

Last time, it was his contention that while he loves Big Bird, he wants to pull funding from PBS.

(It seemed so bullying and misguided, and besides, does he really think all PBS is is Big Bird???)

This time, it was his remark that when he was governor and looking for qualified females to appoint as state cabinet members, womens groups sent him "binders of women."

Facebook pages have launched around that one phrase, and they've gotten tons of "likes"--even from binders of men.

And one article is quoted saying this:

"Why did the phrase resonate? Because it was tone deaf, condescending, and out of touch with the actual economic issues that women are so bothered about.

"The phrase objectified and dehumanized women. It played right into the perception that so many women have feared about a Romney administration--that a president Romney would be sexist and set women back."

Gosh, Romney's suddenly in a binder--I mean bind.

You can't remember all your wives without a program!

He didn't have to ask for more women choices after the election.

The women's group that compiled the list gave it to him before he took office.

He just thought it would sound better to take credit for asking for it.

Wow! This is one of the most ridiculous article I have read about the debate!  You liberals are just fishing for ways to demonize Mitt Romney, because you're starting to realize that he is actually a GOOD PERSON!  Romney supports women...and the fact that he specifically requested women candidates to fulfill positions means that he is looking to advance women and equality.  You have to use a comment so trivial as using the term "binders" to make him look bad?  You're really trying too hard to make this guy out to be something he is not.

...and it subliminally reminds one of Mormon polygamy as well.
