Lorna Luft And Others Sing Streisand Hits!

And it's to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

This will be my last Barbra item for at least two days, but it's important that you know tickets are still available for the benefit concert featuring various stars doing Barbra's greatest hits on Friday October 12.

Lorna Luft is doing "The Man That...", I mean "The Music That Makes Me Dance."

Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins) will sing more than just a spoonful of "The Way We Were."

Impressionist Steven Brinberg has staked his claim on "Evergreen."

Broadway's Nick Adams will croon "Lover, Come Back To Me."

And Lorna and Ann Hampton Callaway will duet for the finale of the show, which by the way is hosted by Scott Nevins.

So get out of your ageless easy chair and get on the horn.

This show is the perfect sandwich meat between Barbra's October 11 and 13 Barclays Center concerts in Brooklyn.

It'll give you a chance to recoup and regroup without being the least bit disloyal to "the greatest star."

My Voice Nation Help

Liza and Lorna already sang "Sisters" as part of a medley on the 1993 Tonys. I should look that up again on Youtube.

Now that Liza and Lorna are going out together again in public and "whispering and giggling and borrowing each other's lipstick" (What's that from, huh?), why don't they try a sister act?

I'd go -- anywhere -- for that twosome.

Song recommendations, please, besides "Sisters." (Barbra and Jason have that one sewn up.).

Lorna's the only one I heard of.
