They may not exactly be the target audience for Perks of Being a Wallflower, but homespun critics Marcia and Lorenzo--aka the "Reel Geezers--have a take on it, and it's pretty stimulating.

In their video (below), the two salty seniors delve into the film's exploration of youth and compare it to their own upbringing.

"I didn't even know what a fairy was," admits Lorenzo.

Says Marcia:

"Someone might say someone was a sissy. I remember that phrase.

"Sex of all kinds--homosexual, sexual abuse, sexual identity, wanting to be transgenderized or whatever it is--seems to be now among children who are 12, 13, 14, or 15.

"We had to grow up up and go to college before we even found out about it.

"Why?"

"We were better people," responds Lorenzo, like a true geezer.

You might say "Oy" or you might reach for your Metamucil, but whatever you say about these two: They're not boring.

And by the way, Marcia loved the film.

@mikeymusto That Old Geezers review --Hilarious. So much to quote! "My father never would have said he loved me. Unthinkable in my day!"

They have other videos too and they're all really fun. (They're on YouTube like this one.) Loved the one for Trouble With The Curve.

His comments are very offensive, but you're right, I did enjoy this a lot.
