Romney Shellshocked By His Loss!

We were ecstatic when Obama won last week, but opponent Mitt Romney went into shock, for some reason.

Mitt put on a stoic face and quickly composed some conciliatory remarks to feed his feeble fan base, but believe me, he was feeling as empty and purposeless as Clint Eastwood's chair.

The Republican ticket just didn't see defeat on the horizon!

"We went into the evening confident we had a good path to victory," a senior adviser is quoted as saying in the linked article.

"I don't think there was one person who saw this coming."

Except all the pollsters who said it was a dead heat and anything could happen, especially the ones who bothered to lay out an electoral map, many of whom tended to favor Obama.

But as big states like Ohio started going to Obama, the Romney gang just couldn't believe they had been so wrong.

"...Ann Romney cried, running mate Paul Ryan seemed genuinely shocked, Ryan's wife Janna also was shaken and cried softly."

So did I--tears of unrepentant joy!

I couldn't believe they hadn't stolen it like they did two previous times!

"There's nothing worse than when you think you're going to win," said another adviser, "and you don't.

"It's like a sucker punch."

Well, now they know how we felt every time Romney spoke about human rights.

Mitt can now be the new Bob Dole on a Viagra commercial.

The "unskewed polls" that Fox & the Republicans were relying on were total BS, made for their need to show false momentum. That they actually bought into it was hilarious. As soon as MSNBC called Ohio, I switched over to Fox to watch the meltdown. Rove flipped out when Fox called Ohio, forcing Megyn Kelly to walk down the hall to challenge the numbers guys. "Are you sure?" "99.95% sure." Having Rove, the guy who spent $390 million on losers, sitting at the desk was priceless.

It looks like Rupert Murdoch is thinking ahead. The spanish language network MundoFox launched in August. Their news division, Noticias MundoFox, will surely begin to echo Rupert's political views eventually.

The Democrats were ready for the vote rigging in Ohio this time. Karl Rove's face on FOX was priceless. 'No, no you don't understand - you're calling the state too soon - Romney's going to win .'  The high point of the entire election. Bet he's in a heap of trouble now.

this is the thing: having been raised around some people like him. These religio-dudes truly BELIEVE all their stuff. When someone psychiatrically whips theselves into a euphoria over the power of their god, they can't see anything but what they want in front of them. This has been documented plenty with the 'Bottle for a Bible' trade with alcoholics. They become as passionate about 'getting' that Bible as they once did the next drink - and all of it leads to solemn rancor. I actually have sympathy for this devil, because he really does not understand the nature of change, or why he did not roll with it by selling his line of stuff to the public. But BE WARNED: don;t let Barry off the hook. Half the country worshipped the cult leader from planet Kolob.

i find it hard to believe he was so surprised. anyone looking at the states he needed to win could see how close it was and a longshot... Obama had a much better campaign anyway and worked harder.. I signed up for both obama and romney campaign updates, etc.. Obama was always sending emails, updates, i recieved 5 Obama  bumper stickesr, Romney was slow and i never recieved any stickers or promo form him in the mail..

Funny how NY Times writer Nate Silver saw Obama's win crystal clear, as did Rachel Maddow. Both predicted it on the nose. Bill Maher could barely contain his glee at being right and James Carville's   "Knew it all the time" chortle was "cherce."

The Republican Party has had its head up its own ass for so long, they couldn't manage to pull it out.

@nostradavid Did you see Dick Morris predict a landslide for Mittens? Talk about an alternate reality.
